To ensure that everyone will have fun at the Christmas party, try our favourite Christmas party games:
Santa Santa
You need : a Santa sleigh
How to play : All children sit in a circle, one of them is blindfolded. Another child has the sleigh and must say:
Santa Santa, where's your sleigh
Someone's come and taken it away
Guess who? Guess who?
The blindfolded child gets three guesses. Then the child who has got the sleigh takes the place of the blindfolded one and the game continues.
Pin the Nose on Rudolf
You need: a big picture of Rudolf, a blindfold and a red circle shape for each child with adhesive on the back and the children’s name on the front.
How to play: blindfold each child in turn, then spin them around and let them try to stick the red shape where the Rudolf’s nose is supposed to be. Whoever’s shape turns out to be the closest to the correct position of the nose, gets an award.
Gift Exchange
You need: pieces of paper
How to play: ask your gests to bring an inexpensive gift – wrapped, but with no gift tag on it.
All the guests draw numbers and choose a gift in numerical order. If you want to spice the game up, let the next player choose a new gift or have somebody steal a gift from another player who has already opened it.
Fun Christmas Carols
You need: 6 or more players, pens, pencils, a prize
How to play: Have everyone write down their favourite Christmas carol, as long as it is not ‘Jingle Bells’. Then have them write down five different numbers between 1-10 (depending on the number of players).
Start calling out numbers and the players who have them will have to sing the carol as written down on their paper. The louder, the better. Whoever has all five numbers called out is the winner. In order to get their prize, the winner must stand up and give their very own version of 'Jingle Bells' while doing a dance to impress the audience.
Make sure you have a selection of little prizes prepared in case people are too shy and the group singing doesn't go according to plan. Then you can award the worst solo, the most original rendition, most pathetic version, etc.
